SATH (Social Association To Help) is a charitable trust started in Aug 2007 with the intention to work towards addressing the basic and fundamental rights of providing child care, protection, health and education for the children who ran away from their homes and living in the streets, orphans, out of school, living in challenging situations etc.
SATH works with those families who do not have the capacity of bringing up their children for various reasons. Under such circumstances, the children are deprived of safety and the basic opportunities to shape their lives. For these neglected under privileged children, SATH provides shelter, nutritious food, qualitative education and health care to ensure that they get safe living and learning environment just like the other children thereby giving wings to their dreams to fly high with confidence!
In addition to this, SATH involves in community participation and work towards distribution of clothes, groceries, blankets, face masks, hygiene kits etc. to the dwellers of slum communities in the neighbourhood.

Girl with huge hunch in front and back living with single mom who had no affection for the girl owing to her deformity
Mother was reluctant to send her to school as she was ashamed of her hunch
SATH identified her during the community survey, admitted her in Sukanya Ghar with the consent of her mom who had no objections at all
SATH gave her enough attention and psychological counseling as the girl felt forsaken
Slowly the girl started enjoying the company of the fellow girls in the home. She showed great interest in attending school, as it was her dream
Despite that she had never been to school, she has been one of the top rankers in the class scoring 90-95%. Currently she is in grade 5. She is very good at drawing and has won awards
She confidently handled her surgery and got rid of her hunch ; currently undergoing Physiotherapy.
The girl was found begging along with her brother and father in the railway station.
They were living in a temporary shelter under a railway bridge. Mother passed away quite sometime back.
Father was a drunkard & did not feed the children
SATH identified the children and were admitted into the home ( Brother in boy’s home).
The girl underwent bridge education at Sukhanya Ghar and eventually mainstreamed in the neighborhood Govt. School.
She was an illiterate when she was admitted in the home. She got comfortable with studies quite swiftly and has been scoring above 80%
She is good at athletics and has a great zeal for dancing.

Good work Channapa sir I-Wing’s of Faith is happy to join the hands with SATH TRUST for helping out the needy.
SATH (Sukanya Ghar), I discovered during my morning walks seeing young girls attending school. More I learnt it is for destitute girls, where parents could not take care. I remember the rainy day when the place was flooded and children lost their school bags and their dresses were wet. This scene brought me closer to the children and engaged in supporting them. I love all of them. Shri Chennappa Heera is looking after all of them very well and children look up to him as GODFATHER who is aiming to them up providing the best education and make the value added to the society. SATH is progressing well with great well-wishers. They all stood up, especially when Nagamma got operated twice. I believe SATH is perfect Shelter for girl children where they are well looked after and making them relevant to society and earn respect. Kudos to all sincere efforts of Shri Chennappa Heera and all well-wishers making this unit commendable. ALL THE BEST FOR SATH!
I am volunteering on social and environmental issues since 2010 and working closely with Sath Ghar. It gives me immense pleasure to see the smiles on the faces of kids every time I visit Sath Ghar. Thank you Channapa Sir for letting me work with you for the greater cause.
I have been associated with Sath for more than 4 years. Mr Channappa is doing a tremendous job for the welfare of the under privileged children. He works day and night very closely with the children living in the slums, trying to persuade them to at least get a basic education. The children living at Sath Ghar are taken care off with lots of love and affection. They are provided with nutritional food, good clothing and shelter. He ensures all are hale and healthy providing them with medical needs as required. Happy to be associated with Sath.
